Fresh Ginger Tea
People’s Pharmacy and the Graedon’s offer sage advice to ease cold symptoms without resorting to chemically laden store bought preparations. The following is a variation of the ginger theme and probably originated in Ayurvedic medicine:
1 inch freshly grated ginger
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 pinch cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons honey or natural maple syrup
Place all ingredients in cheesecloth or a mesh spoon and place in a mug of hot water.
