Botox and other injectable treatments are controlled substances. Only someone with a medical license can order them. That has many surprised to hear there are no rules about who can inject them. In medical spas across Texas, just about anyone can wield the needle.

When Jan was leaving college she vowed to lose the extra sixty pounds she had accumulated; it took a few years to get the hang of smaller portions, her weight yo-yoed up and down but finally, she accomplished her weight loss goal. The extra weight was gone but her face reminded her of a Shar Pei because there was loose skin not only on her face but down into her neck as well. So where does this leave the rest of us? Facial plastic surgery is scary stuff and it has many risks, plus it presents an enigma – here you pay thousands and thousands of dollars for a procedure that has no satisfaction guarantee and you most likely will have to repeat certain procedures because the effects of gravity and atrophy will continue to bombard your facial features.
