Unique characteristics define us and this includes our facial characteristics; if you cut and suture your beautiful face, you may not like the results in more ways than one because psychologists say that your self-definition may be affected. You could feel disconnected from your face because it no longer looks and feels like you. Ladies, stop cutting your faces and learn to exercise it. Sagging facial muscles and skin do not need a surgical correction, rather, exercise will lift, tone and tighten those features that you believe detract from your youthfulness. Dr. Stewart is one of my favorite people because he is right on regarding the dangers of pharmaceuticals, especially anti-biotics…his new book, “Healing Oils of the Bible” is very enlightening and educational. Add Your Comments | Permalink |On April 2, 2012 by cynthia
The very beautiful Salma Hayek has resisted the urge to jump off the bridge – oh wait – she has resisted the urge to use Botox because she understands how paralyzing a muscle can have a detrimental effect on skin and other muscles. Very smart cookie! Let’s hear it for all the gals who resist plumping and paralyzing toxins…they do not always make you look younger but they certainly make you look done. Using facial exercise can return the look of Springtime to your face without using anything harmful or risky to your good health. Add Your Comments | Permalink |On March 22, 2012 by cynthia
Now this is a heartwarming story that demonstrates the power of prayer, trusting in a higher power to guide your path and thanksgiving when that path manifests into something more. Yay! Years ago I was invited to speak at The Optimist Club in Boulder, Colorado. As I was leaving, I was presented a plaque of The Optimist Creed from Optimist International. I love these words and I know you will, too! If there is any doubt that exercise is the fountain of youth, then take a look at this remarkable story from India. Manohar Aich, former Mr Universe, has celebrated his 100th birthday. His longevity is attributed to living life from a happier state (we live in our minds, you know) without tension or stress. Yes, his diet attributed to his success and most interestingly, Aich never touched alcohol and he ate only a simple diet. There’s a lesson here! Lynda Lippin, sans makeup, after her Facial Magic face lift. A few years ago while we were working at Parrot Cay, my husband started to play with my chin wattle. What started as a cutesy joke quickly turned into a fight. Me: “Don’t play with my wattle; you’ll only make it worse!” Gravity is not our friend as we age. As an exercise and fitness professional, I know that exercising muscles in our bodies keeps them toned and helps keep the skin attached to the tissue underneath, so it makes sense to me that exercising facial muscles would do the same. However, exercising the face is tough for at least two reasons: there are a lot of small specialized muscles (43, in fact) and unlike most of the body’s muscles, most facial muscles have only a single bony attachment, and some have none at all. Such sad news that one of our favorite song birds left us recently. Whitney Houston had long been one of my favorite stars and her voice was magical when she sang songs that demonstrated her range of talent. Several articles were released after her passing suggesting that she had contemplated a surgical face lift and that her surgeon, Dr. Marc Mani refused the singers request. I understand that this young, beautiful and talented woman was denied the procedure due to medical testing for heart, liver and lung function. I debated showing you this clip because it’s pretty gruesome but then decided to post it so you can see just how invasive injections can be. Personally, I would never allow anyone to do this to my face but hey, that’s why there is vanilla and chocolate. One note – what happens to all of those toxic substances that are injected? Scary indeed! Add Your Comments | Permalink | |
