Lynda Lippin, sans makeup, after her Facial Magic face lift.
A few years ago while we were working at Parrot Cay, my husband started to play with my chin wattle. What started as a cutesy joke quickly turned into a fight.
Me: “Don’t play with my wattle; you’ll only make it worse!”
Hubby: “But I love everything about you, and it’s so cute!”
Me: “IT’S NOT CUTE!”
Gravity is not our friend as we age. As an exercise and fitness professional, I know that exercising muscles in our bodies keeps them toned and helps keep the skin attached to the tissue underneath, so it makes sense to me that exercising facial muscles would do the same. However, exercising the face is tough for at least two reasons: there are a lot of small specialized muscles (43, in fact) and unlike most of the body’s muscles, most facial muscles have only a single bony attachment, and some have none at all.

Jackie Silver, Agingbackwards.com, told me that a doc had suggested that she allow sunlight into her eyes for several minutes each day. When we walk, she insists that we leave our sunglasses in our pockets when we begin so that the sun can penetrate our being. Vitamin D is vitally important to our good health and in fact, here’s an article we just posted on the Cynthia Rowland newsletter: http://www.rejenuve.com/BB/BB.He_Tips.htm

Those who are DivaDebbi subscribers, know I’m particularly interested in products and experiences that help maintain youthful, radiant beauty. I browse, books, magazine and the Internet for information to try and share with my readers.
I first learned about Jackie Silver, author and radio personality, while perusing Amazon for anti-aging books. Jackie wrote Aging Backwards:Secrets to Staying Young, filled with her secrets, tips and shortcuts for looking and feeling young.

Does work or personal stress make you look older than your real age? A new study says smiling can help you appear younger, but cosmetic dentists say damaged or yellow teeth could have the opposite effect.

Very soon we’ll be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday with our friends and loved ones, and of course, turkey. Most of you already know that turkey is an excellent source of protein (a four ounce serving provides 65 percent of the daily value for protein), but did you also know that turkey is a good source of cancer-preventive selenium?

I know Aging Backwards guru and Ageless Sister, Jackie Silver, Al Sears, MD, and recognized expert on longevity science, David Keckich along with other experts have mentioned that the Paleo diet, a back to basics – caveman diet is the ideal nourishment for our bodies. Are prescription drugs over used? What do you think?
Do you have a family member – sister, aunt, cousin, uncle, son, daughter or even your grandchildren using drugs for a variety of illnesses or maladies? Drug use is prevalent and increasing every year.
