Onions, garlic, and adult beverages are just three of the culprits that can give you gorilla breath the morning after a special evening out. You know the sensation; you positively reek of garlic but what if you haven’t eaten anything that would produce bad breath and yet you know you have breath that makes people turn away from you.
Halitosis, the technical term for bad breath may be a precursor to gum disease, the leading cause of tooth loss that cannot always be detected in its early stages.
There are things you can do right now to stop the bad breath and create healthier gums.
1) Brush your teeth, roof of your mouth and tongue with baking soda, rinse with an anti-bacterial mouthwash.
2) Floss daily.
3) Eat crunchy vegetables such as carrots, celery, broccoli and apples.
4) Increase your vitamin C intake.
5) Drink water every day.
