Do You Want a Chinplant?
Chinplants are becoming a household word now that they have been featured on many blogs, internet news sites and television shows. The procedure seems so simple, so safe for receding chins or short jaws…just a little slash with the scalpel and that dab of whatever the chosen material is soon inserted into your body. Poof! You look different; your jaw line looks tapered yet strengthened and contoured. Maybe the double chin has lessened as your previously benign chin is certainly more dominant.

Chinplants are not new; in fact, they still bore the same amount of danger as every invasive cosmetic procedure. One of our Facial Magic clients, an MD from NY, attended one of my Learning Annex classes in NYC. When I saw her arrive, head down, a scarf disguising her disfigurement, I knew she had had either a car accident or something sinister happened to her appearance. It was the latter. She had suffered an infection from a chin implant that disfigured her once beautiful face. She never thought something like this would happen to her.
