“I Don’t Mind Getting Older, I Just Don’t Want to Look Old”

The above captioned title was actually uttered last week by one of my long-time Facial Magic® clients who, after losing her daughter and her husband to undisclosed illnesses, stopped her face training while she laid in bed for almost two years grieving for her lost loved ones.
Grieving can transform a once youthful, beautiful face into an ageing, drab, lined and wrinkled shell of yourself. Many of these women after the pain of losing a loved one come to the realization that they’re ready to live again but when they look in the mirror, the reality of grieving, acts as an immediate wake up call that a facial intervention is necessary.
Many, hoping that a facial will do the trick, are left disappointed as they quickly realize that even three months of bi-weekly facials are not going to stop the droopy facial features that make them look older.
It’s a fact; from the moment you are born, aging begins.
Aging is one thing, looking old is another and we all know what happens when “old” appears in the mirror.
At first, you might notice that your smile looks a little different and instead of your usual bright eyes, your eyes look somewhat tired, and the lids feel heavy.
Keeping up with changing hairstyles seems to accentuate your evolving jawline. As you peer in the mirror, your once smooth jaw in certain light looks slightly droopy and could your mouth corners be affected because those corners are turning south?
What are your thoughts regarding aging?
Do you believe that a topical product can change the shape and contour of your facial features?
It seems pretty far-fetched to read and see claims, clever photos and videos offered by physicians touting results that seem real with incredible results using only a topical product. Yes, the skin looks improved but what about that double chin, or the developing wattle and droopy eyelids?
Being sophisticated in regards to anti-aging means you can recognize when information is true – or bogus – slathering a gel or a cream onto your face and neck will likely disappoint as the method, the efficacy, the results that are touted don’t materialize.
