Would You Let Your Sisters Make These Mistakes?

I’m an anti-aging expert – here are the 5 risky mistakes I’d never let my sisters make:

Aging has its pitfalls. One of those is seeing our beautiful faces begin to lose shape and contour. We see very evident signs that our eyebrows are falling, our eye lids are crepey, and the nose to mouth folds are descending into the lower mouth and jaw as a double chin begins to form.

My three sisters are younger than me. I’ve always been protective of them and have discouraged several procedures that I believe are not necessarily safe.

  1. Liposuction. Ouch, Ouch, Ouch! Risk of infection, recovery time, painful, but if the surgeon has an arm that doesn’t easily tire, the results of fat removal might be worth it in the long run. Consistently maintaining your weight is key to maintaining the lost fat. Knowing my sisters and their affinity for all things fattening, I say “NO” to their flatter tummy, slimmer arms requests via liposuction.
  2. Radical Facial Peels. Ouch, Ouch, OUCH! Who doesn’t want flawless, porcelain facial skin that all the slick magazines portray. Those highly altered faces are not real. Still, the look of perfection is alluring. Some of the high-priced facial peels do indeed strip off many layers of damaged skin leaving faces looking waxy and freakish. They love to lay at the pool which is a big no-no when you’ve had a radical face peel.
  3. Paralyzing forehead injections. My sisters wear expressive faces. We frown, we grimace, they have lines going in several directions…vertically, horizontally, and some ever diagonally above their brows. Can you imagine how different they would look if all their known expressions were robbed – gone for weeks if not months.
  4. Plumper cheeks via injections. NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! The idea of wearing plumper cheeks to create a younger looking face is quite desirable. The idea of injecting substances that may or may not provide the look you desire is troublesome because overinjecting/overinflating the cheeks does not look natural.
  5. Facial Plastic Surgery. My sisters are truly beautiful! They’ve taken care of themselves very well and their beauty has been preserved. I don’t think they would alter their faces with surgery but rather rely on their sister’s sage advice that a natural facelift, one without seams or danger or drugs that can have negative effects, would always refine and lift every area of their face and neck so they look healthier, fresher and radiant.
