California company accidentally discovers ‘Fountain of Youth’

People have been seeking the Fountain of Youth for thousands of years. Juan Ponce de Leon was allegedly in search of the fountain when he discovered Florida in 1513. One California based company, real food.real life, has discovered an “accidental” side effect of its line of fermented probiotic products – a modern day Fountain of Youth.

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), “Probiotics are live microorganisms (in most cases, bacteria) that are similar to beneficial microorganisms found in the human gut.
