Could Weekly Manicures Cause Skin Cancer?

I love gel manicures because my polish stays in place and I do not have to have it changed for three weeks. I’ve often thought about the UV rays and possible damage to my hands so I began cutting the fingers of used Facial Magic gloves in half to expose the nail bed but not the entire length of my fingers or my hands. I believe these “fingerless” gloves to stop any further damage from UV exposure. Using sun screen rather than lotion isn’t the answer because lotions are used after the nail treatments.
