Recipe for Couscous, Chicken and mushrooms

By Carol Stanley

What is Couscous
It is easy to cook couscous and you can add so many ingredients to change the taste. This recipe needs lots of seasonings and other ingredients to dress it up. Couscous by itself can be very bland tasting. Couscous is wheat semolina that has been crushed and rubbed. You can buy whole grain, organic or regular couscous. I love making couscous because it takes less than five minute to cook, which is great when you are in a hurry. Make sure to add some oil after cooking immediately as the couscous tends to clump. Couscous expands in volume, so a half-cup of dry couscous serves four people.. Add different meats and veggies to add some spark to your couscous.
