Another natural oil has shown it has antioxidant “muscle.” It’s Marula Oil from Marula-The Leakey Collection, which recently announced its partnership with the innovative startup company Birchbox. The Leakeys and Dr. Ashton Kaidi came together over their shared belief in the powerful healing properties of pure Marula Oil. “Dr. Kaidi witnessed the healing benefits on the skin of his cancer patients and we saw the benefits in the lives of women and children in rural East Africa,” the Leakey’s explain.
Marula Oil contains higher levels of Oleic, Palmitic and Stearic fatty acids critical for rapid skin absorbency, hydration and moisture retention. It traps moisture and provides prolonged hydration, penetrating quickly without leaving a residue or greasy feeling. Marula Oil is 99% pure marula oil and it is scented with 1% blend of natural essential oils. Marula is a preservative, synthetic and paraben free formula. It is also vegan and gluten-free.
Marula Oil also contains high levels of important antioxidants including, tocopherol (vitamin E), tochotrienol, phenolic compounds and flavinoids. Marula oil can improve skin hygiene by reducing skin surface bacteria.
Independent lab testing has shown that Marula Oil contains more powerful antioxidants than Argan Oil.
