Why drink more water?  It is recommended that we consume at least sixty-four ounces of water per day to keep our bodies operating at optimum health.  Just drinking sips all day long does not produce the desired flushing effect as does drinking a large, full glass of water at one time.  Yes, you are going to make more restroom visits initially but after a while, your body will compensate for the additional fluid and you will find that you are making fewer trips as the days and weeks progress. If you find repeated trips to the restroom during the night a nuisance, stop drinking water at 6:00 p.m.  Just make certain that you drink the required amount of water per day so that you are properly hydrated.

Some women complain of constant constipation.  If you suffer from constipation, drink more water.  Not only does water stimulate your circulation and elimination process, it regulates and controls the natural moisture balance of your skin.

We have many water choices:  Bottled water, filtered water, tap water, treated water, flavored water, etc.  Filtered water seems to win in the race for purity.  Remember, tap water usually has dehydrating chemicals and minerals that are not very healthy when ingested.  If you can install a water filtration system on your main drinking water source, you have taken a major step toward better health.

Chug To Flush

Just how does one begin the process of introducing sixty-four ounces of water when it has not been part of a beauty regime until now?  Grab a bottle of water and “chug”.  Granted, it is not very lady like but you will be amazed how much water you will drink when it is in a bottle.  If you are in an office, keep the bottle on your desk.  When you make a restroom trip, take your water bottle and refill it from the water cooler.  Keep track of how many ounces you drink daily and how many trips to the restroom you make.  You will notice that in a few days you are drinking the water with fewer visits to the restroom.

Your body will thank you.  Your energy level will increase and you will feel healthier because drinking water is a great first step for creating a new you!
